Laboratory and Stockyard
In line with IndiOre’s regional strategy in the Kurnool district, the Company embarked on a program to locate, establish and commission a central stockyard and processing facility. The Company’s Kurnool stockyard is a 12 acre industrial site within the south-eastern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. As well as the iron source at the nearby Mangal mine, the plant is also adjacent to IndiOre’s existing Kuja iron mine.
The Company achieved the construction, commissioning and expansion of its Phase One Kurnool iron ore dry separation plant at the stockyard in the southeast Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, culminating in the material produced during the commissioning phase being sold ex mine gate into the domestic Indian market.

In addition the laboratory is fully operational, and significantly reduces the cost of assays. Turnaround times for results have been reduced from up to 30 days at initial start-up to the current standard of 24 hours.
The laboratory is able to test for Fe, Al2O3, SiO2 and moisture content, which are all critical components for the maintenance of export quality.
The laboratory facilities allow for the following tasks to be conducted on site:
- Sample preparation, including drying, crushing and pulverising
- Chemical analysis for Fe, Al2O3, SiO2 and moisture content
- Testing of duplicates and certified reference materials for QAQC
- Reporting and data analysis
